Last week I shared a bunch of tips with you to think of when you are about to design business cards. This week i want to show you some visual examples of business card design ideas. So you can get some inspiration in case you have no idea yet what your cards are going to look like!

Idea #1: single sided
Most business card designs have the same structure: logo on the front and your contact details on the back. But why not get your business cards printed single sided? The advantage: one side will be empty, which means you can personalize them! Use the empty side for a quick thank you note, a personal drawing or a stamp! Another benefit: single sided business cards are cheaper to print!
Idea #2: Only 1 pop of color
In the blog post of last week we explained that it’s best to not use too many have blocks of color and too many details on your elephant poo paper business cards so you can let the paper shine. However you do want your business cards to be recognizable. The solution? Pick only 1 color from your brands color palette and maybe black for your font. Happy customer Wilma from Wilskrachtige verhalen had her business cards made on our elephant poo paper and did just that, they look wonderful, right?

Idea #3: No logo? No problem.
Maybe your brand doesn’t have a logo or maybe you do most of your work offline to begin with and it’s not about the branding, but just about you! Especially then business cards are a wonderful tool for connecting with others. Even without a logo or branding you can still make super personal business cards. Just pick a font you like and design a card with something like “Nice to meet you”, “Hi, my name is…” or, leave a little space like in the example picture, to personalize a card by writing someone’s name on it!

Idea #4: Rounded corners
You can create business cards in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Our elephant poo paper cards can only be ordered in 85x55mm and with square corners, but don’t let that fool you. Customizing the shape of your card is much easier then you might think. For example, I rounded the corners of our Pretty ECO business cards with a corner cutter. There’s also punch machines that can create little star shapes etc. within your card, how cute and personal!
I hope these business card design ideas helped you to get some ideas for your business cards! Don’t forget: business cards are super personal so design them in a way that they become an extension of who you are!
Unfortunately we do not offer printing business cards via us anymore. However you can order our 250gsm paper, which is the perfect thickness for Business cards. You can use this in your own printer, or for bigger quantities we recommend you bring it to a local printshop! Good luck.
