Hey Sherlock! So you want to know what exactly Elephant Dung Paper is? Well you’ve come to the right blogpost alright!
And if you have no idea what I am talking about at all, let me give you a quick update: starting tomorrow we’ll sell Elephant Dung Paper products. And yes, Dung means poop a.k.a. sh*t, droppings or turds.
So what does that mean? Is the paper just made out of a flattened ellie turd? Not really. Since elephants only eat plants and trees, their dung is full of fibers. After drying and boiling the dung what is left is nothing but dry fibers. After that approximately 30-50% of these fibers are mixed with 50-70% recycled rice paper. It is then made into one messy pulp that can then be turned into basically anything, as long as it’s paper. From notebooks to coasters and banners. With natural colorings our producer is able to create this paper in 36 different colors!
The first products we will have in our collection are small and medium notebooks and birthday cards. Are you excited? And are there different products made out of Ellie Dung that you would like to see us sell? Let us know!
